I’m unpacking my bag of art supplies from the beach.  We spent last week in Grayton Beach, Florida, and loved our first trip to this charming town.  I managed to make a couple of sketches by the water, in between chasing children.  After nearly
learning from the best: this #postcardpainting shows my son fishing in the surf with his daddy.  some of our favorite family memories happen at the beach.

I have loved creating larger works this year (although I'm back to tiny paintings this summer). Each time I work bigger, I start with a small study painting, as seen here in my sketchbook.  I keep notes about shadows and light, color, etc.  #doitfort
