Evening Light

$375.00

In the evening hours, light filters through the Magnolia tree and its leaves glow from within.

The unique texture of the canvas and watercolor ground captures the light in the leaves in a loose and ethereal way. This gallery canvas measures 12” X 12” and is varnished to be displayed without glass. The canvas can be displayed as is, or framed in a deep float frame.

I have loved creating larger works this year (although I'm back to tiny paintings this summer). Each time I work bigger, I start with a small study painting, as seen here in my sketchbook. I keep notes about shadows and light, color, etc. #doitfort
